International day of Persons Disabilities

Yenepoya Specialty Hospital in collaboration with the Sam’s Clinic observed the international day of persons with disabilities on December 3rd 2021 A Handbook titled ‘Menstrual Management in the Intellectually Disabled’ for caregivers, written by Dr Mehnaz Abdulla, Consultant obstetrician and Gynecologist, YSH, was launched by the chief guest, Sr Maria Jyothi this was followed by talks by Ms Vidya Shenoy and Mrs Ledith Pinto who had personal experience in dealing with persons with disabilities.

Dr. Muhammad Thahir, Medical Director, assured special consideration for persons with disabilities and announced the plan of starting special needs op for those in need.

The function was also attended by Dr Sally Mary Abraham, HOD of the department of OBG, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital.

In order to promote the Basic Life support at the Fitness centres, Yenepoya Specialty Hospital had conducted a BLS Training and an awareness talk session for the fitness trainers at one of the top profile Fitness centres in Mangalore, Atomm Fitness Club, Managudda, Mangalore.

A big shout-out to the management of Atomm Fitness club for supporting and promoting Basic Life Support Training.

CME Program – Moodbidri Chapter

  • The CME program of Doctors Association was conducted on 17th November at Hotel Pancharatna International Moodbidri .
  • There was a gathering of 35 doctors from the Moodbidri chapter.
  • Dr Ashok Pandit spoke about PROSTATE ( CANCER) CHANGING TRENDS, Dr. Rajesh Krishna spoke on HAEMATOLOGY VIGNETTES, Dr. Krishna Shetty spoke on ACCUTE MI
  • There was a good interaction session among the doctors and the CME program concluded successfully. Also it was a good appreciation from the Moodbidri chapter.
